ANGELA MARTINO

I am proud to offer a safe, comfortable and supportive environment where clients can feel at ease when dealing with their concerns of unwanted hair. With over 25 years of experience as a licensed electrologist and certified laser technician, I am committed to ensuring that my clients are successful with their treatments.

I graduated from Marvel Beauty School in 1992, completing an 1800hr program. To further specialize in my studies I completed a 400hr program at Beaubien School of Electrolysis.

WHY ELECTROLYSIS?

I have been performing Electrolysis to remove unwanted hair for many years with great success. It is one of the most effective methods of permanent hair removal on most parts of the body, and can be used for both women and men. It can be performed on all skin types, and on any colour of hair.

Expanding my training I completed laser program at Canadian Beauty College. Taking part in C.O.P.E Canadian Organization of Professional Electrologists, and F.C.E.A. Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Associations. An organization in promoting education in permanent hair removal.

Whether you are weighing your options between electrolysis and laser, I will consult with you on your hair removal goals, expectations, along with a professional examination of your hair and skin type, to ensure you receive the best, safest treatment possible.

So put one smooth leg forward and visit me at Neece Electrolysis.

ELECTROLYSIS VS LASER

Electrolysis has been used for over a hundred years as a permanent hair removal technique to reduce and remove excess or unwanted body hair. While it often requires multiple treatments for permanent and lasting results, Electrolysis is both safe, effective, and a well-documented method that works for all hair types. Below is a list of the major differences between electrolysis and laser hair removal.

ELECTROLYSIS

  • The technology has been around for over 135 years and has an excellent track record
  • Is the ONLY method FDA approved for complete permanent hair removal
  • Electrolysis can treat ALL hair types on ALL skin types
  • Targets one hair at a time, ensures accuracy and high removal rate
  • Can be done anywhere on the body (except inside nose and ears)
  • Hairs are removed at the time of treatment
  • Can be done on large or small areas, appointments can be as frequent as needed

LASER

  • The technology has been around for about 20 years and is a completely unregulated field in Canada
  • Only approved by the FDA for Permanent Reduction (40% to 80%)
  • Targets melanin (pigment colour of the hair) and BEST results occur on dark, coarse, dense hair and light skin
  • Not effective in treating blond, grey, red or hair that is dark but too fine. Also not safe on tanned skin or dark coloured skin (with exception of ND.YAG laser)
  • Hairs treated take from 2 to 14 days to fall out.
  • Can induce hair growth in areas where hair is not dark enough
